COL Reginald “Reggie” Harper A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Colonel Reginald “Reggie” Harper was assigned as the 11th Airborne Division Deputy Commanding Officer for Support on 30 June 2025. Colonel Harper was commissioned into Army Aviation after graduating from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and has served in a variety of positions throughout the United States and abroad. Colonel Harper’s command assignments include 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas; Task Force 1-160, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia; A Company, Task Force 1-160; and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. His staff assignments include Executive Officer to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army; Executive Officer to the Director of the Joint Staff; Joint Operations Division Chief, J-35, Joint Staff, Washington DC; Battalion Operations Officer and Special Mission Unit Liaison Officer, Task Force 1-160. Colonel Harper has multiple combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa as well as operational deployments to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Germany, Poland, and South America. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries Science from Texas A&M University, a Master of Arts degree in Security Studies from Kansas State University, and a Master of Science degree in Strategic Studies from the Air War College. Colonel Harper’s awards and decorations include the Master Aviator Badge, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Bronze Star Medal (3 Oak Leaf Clusters), and the Air Medal (numeral device “5”).
