Complaint Clarification
Civilian Employees: This includes current or former federal civilian employees and applicants for federal employment who feel they have been discriminated against may file an EEO complaint on the basis of: race, sex, disability (mental/physical), age (40 and older), national origin, color, religion, genetic information, sexual harassment or reprisal (based on prior EEO complaint). Under 29 CFR part 1614.105, an individual must contact a counselor within 45 calendar days of the incident date or personnel action, or from the date they became aware of the incident.
Military: All military Airmen, DOD family members, and retirees who feel they have been discriminated against may file an EO complaint within 60 calendar days of the incident date based on: race, sex, national origin, color, religion, sexual orientation or sexual harassment.
